Our Presenters
Katie Duke
As a personal life coach, Katie forms powerful partnerships with women. She enables them to tackle their goals and dreams while supporting them with transitions between career, family and personal well-being. She helps women distinguish what holds them back and discover what inspires them into action and the life of their dreams.
Katie grew up in Georgia and graduated from Florida State University. At Vermont Law School she focused on human rights and women’s issues. After passing the New York State Bar, she worked as an advocate for parents who had abuse and neglect cases filed against them in New York County Family Court.
In 2010 she started working for Binder and Binder as a disability advocate. She moved to Seattle in 2012 to run Seattle’s branch office of the company. In her 5 years as a disability advocate, she represented over 1,000 people at their administrative hearings. It was meaningful, demanding and sometimes heartbreaking work.
She resigned from her job in 2016 after her daughter, Poppy Annabelle, was stillborn. She was committed to grieving, healing and ultimately, personal transformation. Later that year Katie met a life coach in Portland, Oregon, at a Meetup for “ex-lawyers.” Something magical happened during their first conversation and Katie knew what was next for her life and her career.
In July 2018, Katie graduated from Accomplishment Coaching, a 12-month training and personal transformation program. She started her coaching practice, Duke Life Coaching, LLC in 2017 and is energized and inspired by her work. Her “rainbow baby”, Moxie, was born on October 9, 2017. She is also a proud member of the Washington State Bar and Director with Color Street.
Fiona McKay-Ready, PCC
Fiona McKay-Ready is a Leadership and Executive Coach recognized for her power, authenticity and playful nature. Through Ready to Fly LLC she enables leaders and teams to soar to success. Her ultimate commitment is to inspire and support her clients to achieve what they perceive to be ‘the impossible,’ finding the courage to pursue their goals and dreams, whatever their size.
Fiona’s passion for transforming lives was ignited after graduating from Oxford University, when she spent two years teaching in inner-city schools as part of a social enterprise program. She then embarked on a career in aerospace at Rolls-Royce plc, where she played a key role on the board of Rolls-Royce Women, a world-class inclusive network established to strengthen women’s contribution and support in business.
Fiona’s career enabled her to work in various business functions, geographic locations and leadership positions. A British native, Fiona relocated to Seattle to manage the relationship between Rolls-Royce and The Boeing Company before being headhunted by Parker Aerospace. In both roles Fiona was the first female and youngest person ever to serve.
Since embracing her calling to be a professional coach Fiona has worked with a diverse group of business executives, aspiring leaders and entrepreneurs. Her clients have described their coaching as a journey that creates significant shifts in their confidence and courage, enabling them to embrace new opportunities and ‘live out loud’ through the power of living, loving and working authentically.
In her spare time, she enjoys paddle-boarding, dance classes and exploring Seattle and the US with her husband, Will, and her rescue dogs, Winston and Dolly.
This CLE is pending approval for 1 CLE credit in the State of Washington.
