MAMA Seattle January Family Networking Event

Seattle Children’s Theater Virtual Classes: January 23, 2021

You are invited to join MAMA Seattle for our January 2021 Networking Event!

We will have four 60 minute virtual sessions on Zoom with teaching artists from Seattle Children’s Theater. Spots are limited for these live, interactive sessions. Please book each child for one session for the appropriate age range. If you cannot attend a session you signed up for, please notify Amy Klosterman at amy.klosterman@gmail.com. There will be a waitlist option.

Session 1: Story Drama for 3 and 4 year olds from 10am-11am (class limit is 8)
Session 2: Story Drama for 5 and 6 year olds from 10am-11am (class limit is 10)

This is an experience you don't want to miss. Beloved children’s books will serve as the inspiration for our adventures during class. Teaching artists, parents/guardians, and students will work together to create exciting new characters, situations, and opportunities for creative and heroic problem solving. While we tell a story together, parents/guardians will support students by responding to prompts and building characters, so be prepared to join the fun and get silly with your child!

Materials to be provided by families: Crayons, Markers, Paper, Construction Paper, Any Available Craft Supplies, Scissors, Glue

Session 3: Social Emotional Movement for kindergarten through 2^nd graders from 11am-12pm (class limit is 10)
Session 4: Social Emotional Movement for 3^rd through 5th graders from 11am-12pm (class limit is 10)

Did you know dance and movement can help students explore how their emotions are shown and felt in their bodies? With the help of their Teaching Artist, students will discover body language, self-awareness, and self-management while listening to different types of music and expanding their movement vocabularies.

Please wear comfortable and breathable clothing, and comfortable shoes.
